I was away with a large group of people I didn’t know but a few of them were loose connections, acquaintances, people I’d met briefly. I knew the area we were staying in well. It was a big place with lots of buildings, we were staying all together and around us were pools and open spaces of water which looked beautiful and clear. I felt alone because a lot of people knew each other well. I knew one guy a bit better than the others but still didn’t really know him enough to hang around with. But he would try and include me. I was out playing on some grass with a few people and he wanted to buy everyone expensive alcoholic coffee and offered to get me one too. But he realised he didn’t bring money with him and had to run off to get it. One night everyone was crammed around a big table. For some reason everyone was talking about me like it was an honor for me to be there, even though I didn’t know anyone there. Two guys on the opposite side I didn’t really know them. But one guy called over to me to say the other guy had been in love with me for ages. I didn’t know what to say, I didn’t know him. I just laughed along like they were having fun. The guy I knew was sitting next to me and they started joking that I was in love with him and he loved me. And I was like no that’s not true we barely know each other. And they were like we can see it. The next day we got tasked with going out of the place we were staying. I don’t think we’d been aloud out before. We were all sitting around the big table again, in the distance lighting was going off hitting buildings on the hills opposite us, you could see them go on fire, I ran to my room to get my camera to take a photo of the lightning. Another girl was doing the same. We ran back down to take photos. Then we got told to leave the building and wander. The guy I knew came with me. I said I knew a really good spot nearby if he wanted to come with me. We were round by some really clear water so he said if it looked liked that he’d come. So I went to change direction to walk in. We were on a bank down to the water. He took my hand, we were going around a building but there was clear water below. He thought I was going into the water. But I wasn’t and he ran into the water, I said no! Not that way, he walked around in the clear water a bit. You could see metal pipes at the bottom of the water. And he came back. We walked towards the beautiful place. We walked through one end of a shop and out the other, it was fancy and sold books and perfume. We didn’t speak so I messaged him asking if he thought they’d ask us to go back, but after I sent the message my phone went weird showing cartoons. He said he didn’t think they would make us come back. It felt like we were together as a couple.
